ENGINEERED FOR DURABILITY AND PERFORMANCE

Stonetile is more than just a cladding product—it’s a high-performance exterior solution designed for long-term resilience in any climate. Our high-density limestone concrete and patented mechanical fastening system set us apart from traditional masonry, ensuring superior strength, weather resistance, and efficiency.

Explore Stonetile’s key technical specifications, including material composition, fastening systems, moisture protection, and performance ratings. These details provide essential information for architects, builders, and contractors to ensure proper installation and long-term durability.

Technical Specifications & Performance Details

MATERIAL COMPOSITION
  • Locally Sourced Limestone Aggregate – Stonetile is made with high-quality limestone aggregate sourced from local quarries, ensuring sustainability and consistency.
  • High-Density Concrete – Engineered for maximum strength and durability, providing superior resistance to cracking, weathering, and impact.
  • Iron Oxide Pigments – Color is integrated throughout the material, using fade-resistant iron oxide pigments for long-lasting vibrancy without the need for painting or sealing.
MECHANICAL FASTENING SYSTEM
  • Embedded Galvanized Hangers – Each Stonetile panel has galvanized steel hangers embedded in the back, ensuring secure mechanical attachment and long-term durability.
  • Plywood or OSB Sheathing – For proper installation, Stonetile must be fastened to plywood or OSB sheathing that is at least 3/8” thick.
  • Fastening Method – Panels are secured using 1” #8 screws, ensuring a strong and precise fit without the need for mortar or adhesives.
  • Self-Supporting Design – Unlike traditional masonry, where the weight is transferred downward through a support ledge or angle iron, Stonetile’s mechanical fastening system allows each tile to carry its own weight. This eliminates the need for additional structural brackets or ledges, simplifying installation.
  • Resilient & Secure Attachment – This system ensures stability against wind loads, freeze-thaw cycles, and thermal expansion, making it ideal for all climates.
RAINSCREEN SYSTEM
  • Built-In Moisture Management – Stonetile features an integrated 10mm air gap behind the panels, creating a continuous ventilation space that allows moisture to escape, preventing water buildup behind the cladding.
  • Eliminates the Need for Additional Rain Screen Components – Unlike other cladding systems that require furring strips or separate rain screen barriers, Stonetile’s built-in design simplifies installation while ensuring proper drainage and airflow.
  • Prevents Rot, Mold & Moisture Damage – By maintaining a dry, ventilated cavity, the system helps prevent wood rot, mold growth, and trapped condensation, ensuring the longevity of both the cladding and the building envelope.
  • Enhances Building Performance – The ventilated air gap not only protects against moisture but also allows for thermal movement, reducing stress on the wall assembly during temperature fluctuations.
  • Code Compliance & Durability – Meets or exceeds industry standards for moisture control in exterior wall assemblies and is designed to perform in high-moisture and freeze-thaw environments.
JOINT SEALING & FINISHING
  • Sealed for Long-Term Performance – All Stonetile joints are sealed using Tremco Dymonic FC Polyurethane, a high-performance sealant chosen for its superior adhesion to concrete, flexibility, and durability.
  • Accommodates Expansion & Contraction – The flexible polyurethane formula allows for natural movement during freeze-thaw cycles, preventing cracks and ensuring a long-lasting seal.
  • Brushed Sand Finish for Texture & Protection – After sealing, joints are brushed with a mineral sand, which provides a natural stone-like texture, enhances UV resistance, and extends the lifespan of the caulking.
  • Seamless Integration with the Design – The sanded finish helps joints blend seamlessly with the tiles while maintaining weather resistance and structural integrity.
  • Low Maintenance & Long-Lasting – Designed to withstand temperature fluctuations, moisture exposure, and UV degradation, ensuring a durable, professional finish with minimal upkeep.
MAINTENANCE & WARRANTY
  • Zero Maintenance Required – Stonetile is designed for long-term durability with no ongoing maintenance needed. Unlike traditional masonry, there’s no need for sealing, repainting, or repairs under normal conditions.
  • Built to Last – Made from high-density limestone concrete, Stonetile resists UV exposure, moisture, freeze-thaw cycles, and environmental wear without deterioration.
  • 25-Year Warranty – We stand behind our product with a 25-year warranty, ensuring peace of mind and long-term performance.
