SIMPLE, EFFICIENT INSTALLATION FOR ANY CLIMATE
Stonetile’s mechanical fastening system makes installation efficient and mess-free—without the need for mortar. Unlike traditional masonry, Stonetile can be installed year-round, even in cold weather, making it a practical solution for any project.
Why Installers Prefer Stonetile
- No Mortar, No Mess - Fasten directly to plywood or OSB for a secure, uniform fit.
- Year-Round Installation - Can be installed in any season, without the need for hoarding.
- Lightweight & Precise - Easier handling, cleaner edges, and a consistent, professional finish.
- Built-In Rainscreen System - Allows moisture to escape, preventing long-term damage.
Installation Requirements
- Proper Substrate – Stonetile must be installed on plywood or OSB sheathing that is securely fastened and structurally sound.
- Weather-Resistant Barrier – A house wrap or waterproofing membrane should be applied in accordance with local building codes.
- Fastening System – Panels are secured using 1” #8 screws, ensuring a strong mechanical attachment.
- Caulking – must be applied at all joints, corners, and terminations, with brushed sand for a grout-like finish.
